What is Black Curtain Games?
Black Curtain Games is an independent trading card game publisher. We design 100% original anime-style trading card games (TCGs) — new worlds, new characters, and new mechanics you won't find anywhere else. No licensed IP, no reprints.
How many players are your games for?
Every Black Curtain Games title is designed for 2 players head-to-head. Several games also include 3–4 player variants in the rulebook.
What's in the box?
A complete game: everything two players need, including all cards, a full rulebook, and any tokens or trackers the game uses. No booster packs and nothing randomized — buy the box, play the game.
Are these games like Magic or Pokémon?
They share the same TCG DNA — decks, duels, and deep strategy — but each of our games is an original world with its own mechanics, from dating-sim duels and skate-crew turf wars to cyberpunk hacking and cooking battles.
How long does a game take?
Most of our games play in about 30–45 minutes once you know the rules, and every box includes a full rulebook plus a quick-start guide.
Do I need to buy boosters or expansions?
No. Each box is a complete, self-contained game. Expansions may release later for some titles, but they're never required to play.
How much is shipping?
